Attorneys at Law Tasić & Partners, in cooperation with the Belgian Serbian Business Association (BSBA) and with support and hospitality of the Belgian Embassy and the ambassador, Mr. Leo D’aes, has held a presentation on “Termination of Employment”, with special emphasis on termination of employment by the employer. The purpose of the presentation was to introduce to the members of the BSBA, as employers, relevant national and European regulation on the subject matter but also to indicate the most common practical issues with respect to termination of employment, and illustrate some practical examples, guidance and recommendation provided by the Tasic & Partners lawyers.

The presentation and interactive discussion was led by Ms. Vanja Stojanović, junior partner and Ms. Aleksandra Milošević, junior associate at Tasić & Partners, when the participants were given an opportunity to expose their dilemmas and ask questions on the subject matter, and the lawyer presenters shared their vast experience which, as concluded by the participants, contributed to resolution of some practical issues in both smaller and large scale systems. Special attention was given to the potential for preventive actions and mechanisms for protecting the employer from rather long lasting and expensive labour disputes.

Considering the interest, reactions and final conclusions of the participants, Tasic & Partners office has many more similar events in perspective, expressing gratitude to all the parties that have participated or otherwise supported this presentation.
