In the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia No. 12 from 1 February 2022, the Decree on Determining the Financial Support Program – Using Standards for More Competitive Products was published, and enters into force on the eighth day from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. 9 February 2022.
The Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Development Agency of Serbia (hereinafter: the “DAS”) has developed a Financial Support Program – Using standards to more competitive products (hereinafter: the “Program”). The budget for the implementation of the Program is 50,000,000.00 dinars, and the public call shall be open until the funds are spent, and no later than 1 December 2022.
The available funds are approved individually to the beneficiaries of the Program, by reimbursement as co-financing in the amount of 40% or 60% of the amount of costs excluding value added tax, for each project activity.
Co-financing in the amount of 60% is provided for micro, small and medium companies and entrepreneurs, and 40% for large businesses, except for the procurement of Serbian standards and recertification of management systems, as well as for the implementation of SRPS EN ISO 50001, where co-financing in the amount of 60% is provided for all economic entities regardless of their size.
The government support under the Program is intended to co-finance the following activities of program beneficiaries:
1. implementation of procedures for assessing the conformity of products with the requirements of Serbian and foreign (primarily European) technical regulations and / or meeting the conditions for marking with the prescribed signs;
2. arranging business in accordance with the requirements of internationally recognized standards of the management system; and
3. procurement of Serbian standards.
The minimum and maximum total amount of funds for reimbursement amount to 100,000.00 dinars and 1,000,000.00 dinars that one beneficiary of the Program can achieve for one or more activities. Therefore, the sum of the reimbursement costs for all three project activities must be in the range of the stated minimum and maximum amount.
The deadline for the completion of all contracted activities and the realization of payments within the approved project is 12 months from the date of signing the contract with the DAS.
Detailed information regarding the conditions for applying for the Program, the procedure for implementing the Program and deadlines for applying shall be published in a public call, which will be available on the website of the Ministry of Economy and the DAS, which is expected to be published in February or March this year.
