New data on consumer price indices, which measure changes in the prices of goods and services purchased by households to meet their needs, as well as the inflation rate, have been published.
Consumer prices in June 2024 compared to May 2024 increased by 0.1%, while compared to December 2023 they increased by 2.3%.
Consumer prices in June 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 3.8%. Price increases were recorded in the following categories:
- Recreation and culture, clothing and footwear, restaurants and hotels, health, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco.
- Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, education.
On the other hand, price decreases were recorded in the categories of transport and communications.
