Published data on consumer price indices for May 2024 indicate the measure of changes in the retail prices of goods and services used by households for personal consumption.
Prices of products and services for personal consumption in May 2024 increased by 0.4% compared to April 2024, and by 2.2% compared to December 2023.
Consumer prices in May 2024, compared to the same month of the previous year, increased by 4.5%. Price increases were recorded for:
- Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, clothing, footwear, restaurants and hotels, transport, housing, and water;
- Electricity, gas and other fuels, health, household equipment and maintenance, recreation, culture, and education.
