In the Official Gazette of the RS No. 16 of February 26, 2025., data on average wages for 2024 were published, so the average monthly wage for the fourth quarter of 2024 was 141,172 dinars, while the average annual wage per employee is 1,624,836 dinars (gross, while without taxes and contributions – net is 1,177,716 dinars). The above represents an increase compared to the published data for 2023, when the monthly salary in the fourth quarter was 124,724 dinars, and the total annual salary was 1,423,188 dinars.
In December, the average gross salary is 148,428.00 dinars (or net 108,312.00 dinars), which is also an increase compared to 2023, when in December the average gross salary was 130,405.00 dinars (net 95,093.00 dinars).
Indexation of wages in this context follows the movement of wages in relation to the cost of living, i.e. consumer prices. According to data for the period from July 1 to December 31, 2024, average wages recorded a growth index of 13.1% (index 113.1), while the consumer price index was 2.0% (index 102.0). This difference indicates a gradual increase in wages, but also the fact that inflation affects the real purchasing power of employees.
